Branach started life as a research and development company in 1990. Mike and John Walsh are the owners and founders of Branach. Mike’s background, is in mechanical engineering and John’s in civil engineering.

They both recognized the need for a quality fiberglass ladder, which was lacking in the market place.  With this in mind they applied themselves to the R & D required to develop a superior ladder in both manufacturing technique and finished product.

Their early work lead to Branach’s patented box-rail ladder construction. This world first method of building a ladder, employed modern adhesives, metals and plastics which lead to the lightest and strongest fibreglass ladders available. The new design maximised the stability and safety of the ladder by minimising ladder twist, sway and weight.

Branach began manufacturing and selling ladders to the electrical power distribution and telecommunications industries in the late 1990’s and soon established itself as a manufacturer of quality ladders and accessories.

In 2003 the team went on to develop the fibreglass step platform range in response to new working at heights regulations.
